I remember when I was in the Ravenvolk Kindred that we spoke of our Hamingja when consecrating out Thor Hammers beneath the soil on a name choosing day. Each Hammer has the name it is called but you are supposed to use your own blood on your Hammer and to lay it beneath the earth for a few nights beneath your altar while giving it a personal name of your choosing. Your hamingja is like the fortune given to you when you were still inside the womb. It is the culmination of your bloodlines from all your past kinfolk and is what the gods gave to you when Odin breathed the spirit of life into you. That is about all I took from the teachings but hamingja is related to the Perthro rune because of its connection to your luck.

Also to Odal, because of it's relation to blood and soil.
