Unfortunately, the petty minded mistake open, friendliness for weakness and stupidity. They may take the next step of seeking to take some advantage of that openness- because it makes them feel inferior.
My advice: disengage from such low life - or interract with them in a totally cold, dispassionate and dismissive manner.
Neither option A no B should be considered.
Meditate to balance your emotions - and/or use a kick bag for 30 minutes!
