Canary Islands Mega-tsunami YELLOW ALERT!

Hundreds of recent earthquakes with magma moving closer to the surface reported from the ⁣Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma Island. A large chunk of the Island is at risk of sliding into the Atlantic Ocean and drowning millions. This volcano is the perfect Wrath of God scenario as few living on the Altantic coast will be able to escape it's judgement. Even if alerted of an eruption and the collapse of the Island's fault line, the resulting Mega-Tsunami will bury the coasts faster than traffic jammed roads will allow escape. The recent intense seismic activity triggered a Yellow Alert warning on September 13th. When it rains - it pours!

I'm 150 miles inland from the Atlantic Coast. Even where I'm at the ground is sandy. There have been warnings of tsunamis where the water could reach this far inland. I even dreamed I was swimming in a pasture trying to escape a shark by climbing a barbed wire fence. Let's hope nothing like this happens.

Soldier1: The problem is that experts are saying it WILL happen eventually. The way the Volcano seems to be acting up right now means the threat level is high enough to warrant keeping this on your radar. At 150 miles inland, you surely have high ground you can get to unless you live in Florida. A cell phone alert should be prepared by FEMA in case the volcano starts popping off but they probably have other priorities.

@Spectralwulf: Yes, luckily mountains are not too far. I have heard of people being so frightened by the prospect that they've moved further inland.

@Spectralwulf:

It's a simple enough situation.
If you keep piling friable material up, eventually it will become unstable and slip.
This island is ready to go.
I just hope the resulting 150 metre tsunami doesn't drown too many blacks when it hits Africa.
I am very close to the sea, but 90 metres up, so hoping the wave won't get to me here.
Where I am, it is predicted to be blue, so to have lost quite a lot of its force and elevation.
I planned out my escape direction last night; I can get to 140m within a half mile or so; but just hope the wave doesn't come when I'm sleeping.
