@nimblehorse: I wonder why it is some truthers, even the most hardcore, who do their due diligence, tons of research, and are very much open-minded with things, slam on their brakes when it comes to our not living on a spinning ball with curved water? It's a weird phenomenon - like the cognitive dissonance where flat earth is concerned is just too much for them & they go into shutdown mode or something.
Personally, I don't really like to say "flat earth" - for the simple fact this is what that freemason society called themselves in the late 19th/early 20th century, the "Flat Earth Society". I think it gives people a negative impression - not that it matters. I guess it's more a personal thing for me because I truly have no idea what this place looks like from way above - however, I have not researched this to the extent others have, so if there is more information that paints a better picture, I haven't seen or read it yet.
It's crazy these past 6 or 7 years since I became aware of this - when I go through my old playlists on YouTube for music, mainly my stuff from the 80s, there are FEW videos from Mtv in the 80s that DOES NOT feature a GLOBE somewhere in the video...or a black and white checkerboard floor, lol.

the second image is a military infrared image from 1957 showing zero curvature..
not matching up to the official version.
