This is useful. You can get Black Powder at Walmart can't you?

@Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest: One year I went to Walmart and purchased a .50 cal. CVA Muzzleloader. It was only $96.00 so I then spent more money on a large container of black powder and other stuff for loading my own balls. After I got it home I realized that with my shaky hands I would probably blow myself up. I had a huge 1979 GMC on 44 inch Swampers and a 20 inch lift. It would stall on the highway a lot. The last time I called a wrecker to give me a Tow Service I gave him that gun as payment instead of the cash.

You can take it out of the hilti dx cartridges ( for nailing into concrete ) and reuse the primers

ok i watched it out of curiosity. holy hell is that bad. anybody who reads this..... do not do as this man did. I wouldnt even consider that black powder. I wouldnt even light that much of mine with a lighter unless i want burns on my thumbs. It should light and burn like flash paper. POOF! gone. this jerry-curl dude in a fedora is a jive ass turkey. Ball mill it 8 hours Double the grams per weight per batch in a typical $50 "rock polisher". So 150 grams PN and 30g Charcoal. after milled, wet it with denatured alcohol(some solvents work better, many less, all will do) until it has the consistency of wet sand. Now either before you tumble it you can add dextrix (baked corn starch for a period at a specific temp) or you can heat after, but thats risky. Thats what i found works bets for hardness, but it comes at a risk cost. you know.... putting a quart of BP in your oven for hours at low temps.... not very wise. Anyway. after you have the sandy mixture, you should have created a little box screen(from something like window screen) you take the wet mixture(which needs to sit for a day sealed, for best results) and grate it through the screen into as thin a layer as possible on baking sheets(for LOW OVEN:see ignition temp and cut that in half and still pray to GOD) or on any other large surface area drying boards, plates, trays, etc. This Pelleted grain(i.e 120 grain round) is then stored in non static jars. old spaghetti jars and the like. Throw in cotton or old silicon oxygen absorbent packs from food stuffs like beef jerkey. Have fun and be safe. ANd dont forget..... you can always turn cannon fuse into waterproof fuse with wax.

Agree. It’s just for entertainment as I said. If my downloader will download my next video faster I will show a better process. This is just the first video I posted for fun.

@Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest: Ok... but you know some people will do anything. This guy's powder is worse than my first attempt as a child. It burns so slow! I dont even chock that up to bad mesh grade alone. It was pitiful. It burned about as fast as a cigar. I just hope none of our people see this and consider it in anyway accurate. Except of course, the ratios. Hey if you could find some vids on it, i would suggest just gas/diesel and pressure cooker... um... things. 1/2 gal of gas = the potential of 1 stick of the TNTee... under the right pressure differentials. Just like that 2 grams of BP dude lit was weak, but on some plastic wrap secured under an empty water/soda bottle lid, with a hole poked in it and a fuse... that shit goes off. Put it in a car, the windows will bust out. Levels of containment is where its at.

@TinyCow:

If my downloader was any slower it would be going backwards. Don’t worry I got some more videos on it if my computer will work.

@Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest: lol i almost felt like getting out the material and making a tutorial. Its so very simple, it should be one of the first things our people know. Also, there are very good videos out there on "tumblers" im creeks(water powered). For those who want large quantity(or without electrical power). And again, videos on how to extract kn03 from urine over time on hay and such. They should know that piss, wood, a barrel, some rocks and a creeks can make them a shit ton of the BOOM BOOM in a year. then again, thats on them.

@TinyCow:

Will eventually get around to it. It takes awhile to convert this stuff and then download it. My only complaint is that this website is kinda slow.

This is surely something we need to know. Where does one get sulfur and
potassium nitrate?

Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest

You can buy pure sulfur online.

i would skip the sulfur. Just 75 parts by weight to 15 parts charcoal. Also denatured alcohol(i havent watched the video), use a small screen after wetting to pellet it. You can try to make some dextrin to add in a small quantity to help the structure. Also, obviously low density woods like black willow are usually recommended but 2x4 scraps work well for the charcoal. On a side note, i would love to see if anyone ever tries balsa wood. The deflagration rate must be off the charts for BP

I have more videos on black powder coming up. This was just the first.

@Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest: Like i said, i didnt watch it because i have a lot of personal experience testing different ways. I just thought id throw out some tips for those who plan to to try it. The sulfur may help, instead of hinder, the reaction if its pure, but the 98% stuff you can get from garden centers seems to hinder the reaction. probably due to some purposeful additive.

@TinyCow:

Agree, add only the pure 100% stuff if you can get it.
