Let's back up a bit.
In 1210, King John of England borrowed gold from the Pope.
He couldn't pay it back at the loan expiry date.
He had issued as collateral for the loan, his kingdom - England, so England passed into receivership, and was then to be administered by the bankruptcy officials, who were the Pope's bankers - the jews.
Some people call them the Knights Templar.
These were then sent to England to administer the bankruptcy, and they established themselves in the City of London, and specifically, in the Inns of Court in the City - the precise location being the Inner Temple.
( They are still there today. )
The barons of England then realised that their lands were now owned by the Pope, and so they could be thrown off them, especially if they were not prepared to acquiesce to his demands.
So they forced the King to meet them at Runnymede, where the Great Charter or Magna Carta was signed by him - this however was only window dressing.
Much like in the US Constitution, anything said in MC was only to safeguard these allodial rights that the barons had previously enjoyed - it had nothing to do with the ordinary people, who simply continued as serfs, as they always had been.
And thus, England was now just a business, whose only requirement was that it should return profit to the Pope and his bankers.
So in due course, and especially with the passage of the Cestui Qui Vie act of 1666, all property became owned by these individuals, who set about converting the Common Law - which had been about justice and equity, into commercial law, which is only concerned with making a profit.
Language was changed to "legalese" ie words which frequently mean the opposite of their definition in English - and thus deliberate confusion was spread amongst the gullible people, who now started to work, not for themselves and their families, as under Common Law, but for the king - or the Pope, depending how you see things.
And in due course, these travesties of justice spread to the colonies, as we see being played out in this courtroom scene in Oz.
