According to the terms of the Molotov-Ribbentrop treaty, the Soviets were supposed to attack Poland simultaneously from the east, but Stalin being devious and cunning, waited six weeks before doing so, so as to give the impression when he did finally invade, that he was doing so to protect Poland from further "NS aggression," and so the Jew-K and France then declared war on Germany alone, rather than on both invading parties.
