Queer jew kvetches for an hour to force delusions on the rest of us

⁣"At the Intersection of Queer & Jewish: Why It's Tough Out Here for Some of Us"

Stephanie Goldfarb, a veteran Jewish educator and LGBTQ activist, visits Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation for its annual Pride Shabbat to discuss the complex identities of being queer and Jewish. Topics included intersectional feminism, identity politics, and accusations of "pink-washing Israel" in order to gain a deeper understanding of the polarizing community gatekeeping that prevents marginalized communities from supporting and respecting each other.

Stephanie Goldfarb has Masters degrees in both clinical social work and gender studies from Loyola University. She is a Jewish community professional currently serving as the Director for Honeymoon Israel in Chicago. She lives in Ravenswood with her partner and dog.
