Know thy enemy. "Brit" has meaning of great significance in Hebrew. On the surface it means "the sign of the covenant" but as a name for a nation the jews silently control it only begins to make sense when presented as "brit bein ha-betarim" which means "animals divided in half". But there is no verb B-R-T in Hebrew. The answer is found in Bereishit 15:10 and 6:18 showing a relationship between B-R-T and P-R-D (to divide or separate). The jews also use "artzot ha-brit" to refer to America and the German confederation for the same reasons.
