With the cold weather having claimed the land I do not visit the river as often but my cat needs attention for her allergies. Yesterday the Vet told me "We should really charge $200.00 per visit to handle your cat because she is like a wild feral cat when trying to give her a shot". I was given a 2-week supply of pills to try giving to her on my own twice daily. This seems to be working for my cat but she hasn't moved from the top of the fridge. Cujo on the other hand is happy to be watching the house and the Doberman named "Mama" by her owner, is happy to have me taking care of her every day.

We have a cat that hang-out at work. One of the fellas that left use to feed her. She keeps hanging out even after he left. I don't think anyone is feeding her. She's let me pet her a few times now. She's really cute. Usually cats and I don't mesh but she seems to like me. I am still a dog person. But even more so, I love my cattle. Bless you Brother!

I set out big bowls of food for all the neighborhood cats each day. Cats will often go into the woods and live wild for several years and still return to their original homes occasionally. If you drive a cat 30 miles away to another home they will spend weeks walking to get back to their original home. When I had livestock I kept feral cats in the barns to hunt the mice. This cat of mine won't kill a mouse.

@DARRYL DUNCAN: I've been on the farm 8 years. We've had several cats dumped on us. They never stick around. I don't get it. We set out food but they still desire the woods and the creek behind the house.
