one thing that Mark gets wrong is that he assumes that beings that look similar to you and me are necessarily human
But, in the same way that there you see no essential difference between plane and planet, there is no essential difference between human and humane, in fact the words human and humane were used interchangeably (and still often are)
Putting an "e" on the end of human makes no essential difference.
Therefore human is not a birth right, nor is it species specific.
Human (and equivalently, humane) is a quality of mind and action, that is measured in terms of frequency and intensity.
Other animal forms can at times be very human, and folk that look similar to us can be very inhuman.
We are not part of humanity.
The fact of the matter is that we are part humanity and inhumanity, in accordance with ones realization of truth (which is the truth of the non causation of suffering)
